U.S.-NATO staff talks fortify ironclad security alliance

U.S. European Command and NATO Supreme Headquarters Allied Command Europe leaders met today for staff talks, enhancing military coordination for deterrence and security.

As part of the ongoing commitment between the U.S. and NATO, U.S. European Command Deputy Commander U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Michael L. Howard hosted the virtual staff talks for the fourth year. 

The collaborative meeting strengthens transparency and understanding, further improving warfighting readiness between the two military organizations and is an opportunity for leadership to synchronize common priorities, foment defense unity, and align future plans.

Subject matter experts from both staffs presented on recent successes of improved coordination, highlighting improved communications and information sharing to build resilience and speed for enhanced deterrence and defense. 

NATO and U.S. leadership reaffirmed the need to continue improving collaboration with effective information circulation.
