Combined U.S. – Israel Exercise Juniper Falcon 2021 Concludes

The first-ever virtual, joint U.S. Israel ballistic missile defense exercise, Juniper Falcon 2021, concluded Feb. 12 following two weeks of military training focused on enhancing the defense of Israel through combined coordination, shared capabilities, and continued military relationships.

U.S. Marines with Marine Rotational Force Europe 21.1 (MRF-E), Marine Forces Europe and Africa, participate in the extreme-cold weather training package in Setermoen, Norway, Jan. 31 – Feb. 6, 2021. MRF-E focuses on regional engagements throughout Europe by conducting various exercises, arctic cold-weather and mountain warfare training, and military-to-military engagements, which enhance overall interoperability of the U.S. Marine Corps with allies and partners. COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution Expands Across USEUCOM Area of Responsibility

Efforts to provide COVID-19 vaccine to Department of Defense personnel have expanded to 14 countries at 38 distribution sites across the U.S. European Command (USEUCOM) area of responsibility.

This week, as the largest U.S. military hospital outside the continental United States, LRMC surpassed 100,000 COVID-19 tests with a continued commitment toward diminishing the virus. This is evidenced by ongoing additions to its laboratory arsenal, such as the recent U.S. Food and Drug Administration-authorized Rapid Antigen Tests, or RAT tests. Using a RAT test, patients can read their results directly from the testing card, similar to home pregnancy tests.

Naval special operations forces from the Greek Underwater Demolition Team (DYK) and Cypriot Underwater Demolition Team (UDT) secure the interior of the HS Kanaris during Visit Board Search and Seizure (VBSS) in Souda Bay, Greece, January 11-29. CRETE, Greece – Naval special operations forces from the Greek Underwater Demolition Team (DYK), Cypriot Underwater Demolition Team (UDT), and U.S. Navy Special Warfare Combatant-Craft Crewmen (SWCC) joined forces to conduct a maritime exercise in Souda Bay, Greece, January 11-29.
The tri-lateral Special Operations Forces (SOF) exercise, which was designed to better enable global operations, included Over the Beach (OTB), Visit Board Search and Seizure (VBSS), and Small Boat Interdiction (SBI).
