Gen. Randy George, nominated in April to be the next chief of staff of the Army and currently acting CSA, and Sgt. Maj. of the Army Michael Weimer toured the state-of-the-art Army Prepositioned Stocks-2 storage and maintenance complex Aug. 26, 2023. The facility is NATO’s biggest single infrastructure investment in more than three decades, with key strategic capabilities including maintenance readiness and access to logistics nodes.

A B-2 Spirit assigned to Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo., participated in the B-2s the first hot pit refueling at Ørland flystasjon, Brekstad, Norway, on Aug. 29, 2023. Hot pit refueling within NATO countries allows for the B-2 to expand its fuel range and minimize its time on the ground.

Bomber Task Force missions provide aircrews the ability to forward posture strategic bombers within the European theater, enabling integration with NATO Allies and partners to advance the ability for Allies to operate as a single, cohesive force.

The conference is an integral gathering to coordinate and synchronize activities among the command’s headquarters and its five components as each executes security cooperation and provides support to NATO across Europe.
The annual conference provides a planning venue for EUCOM staff, components and security cooperation stakeholders to chart a path toward achieving theater objectives.
