Saber Strike 17 Opens in Latvia

ADAZI, Latvia — Multiple nations stand together for Saber Strike's opening ceremony, Adazi Military Base, Latvia, June 3, 20127. The eight nations participating in the event are Slovakia, Poland, Norway, Lithuania, United Kingdom, Italy, United States and the host country, Latvia. Saber Strike is a U.S. Army Europe-led multinational combined forces exercise which occurs annually in the Baltic region. This is the seventh year Saber Strike is in effect and 20 nations are participating in the event, across the borders of Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. Shiloh Capers)
