Clean, Safe and Ready to Fly

An Airman from the 86th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron washes the fuselage of a C-130J Super Hercules cargo aircraft April 20, 2015, at Ramstein Air Base, Germany. Aircraft washing is a vital part of the flying mission, and if not washed regularly, aircraft begin to corrode and cause damage yielding it unsafe to operate. Safety procedures require all members participating in the washing to wear full-body protective gear. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Sara Keller)
