Maj. Gen. Dave Julazadeh, U.S. Air Force

Chief of Staff

Maj. Gen. Dave Julazadeh is the Chief of Staff, Headquarters United States European Command, Patch Barracks, Stuttgart, Germany. He exercises day-to-day supervision of the staff, is responsible for management of all matters involving daily operations of the U.S. European Command, and provides counsel and advice to the Commander, Deputy Commander, and Civilian Deputy on all matters affecting the command. Maj. Gen. Julazadeh also conducts regular coordination with and between the Office of the Secretary of Defense staff, Joint Staff, other combatant and functional commands, component commands, and the USEUCOM joint staff.                       

Maj. Gen. Julazadeh entered the U.S. Air Force in 1990 following graduation from Kansas University and commissioning through ROTC. He served as an F-16 Instructor Pilot, Functional Check Flight Pilot, and Flight Examiner logging more than 2,500 flight hours and 600 combat hours during operations Provide Comfort, Deny Flight, Northern Watch, Allied Force, and Freedom’s Sentinel. He also participated in Operation Uphold Democracy while serving as an Air Liaison Officer with the 1st Ranger Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment.

Maj. Gen. Julazadeh served in Numbered Air Force, major command, Headquarters Air Force, Headquarters NATO, Headquarters U.S. Central Command, and Office of the Secretary of Defense staff positions. He’s commanded at the flight, squadron, and twice at the wing level. Prior to his current assignment, Maj. Gen. Julazadeh served as Director of Plans, Policy, Strategy, and Capabilities, Headquarters USEUCOM, Patch Barracks, Stuttgart, Germany.
