STUTTGART, Germany –U.S. European Command (USEUCOM) and the Cypriot military will conduct exercise Silver Falcon 2023 at various locations in Cyprus February 6-24, 2023.

In accordance with long-standing bilateral agreements, SF23 is a bilateral exercise with our Cypriot partners and is intended to prepare U.S. forces to exercise emergency response procedures to include support to noncombatant evacuation operations.

This exercise is designed to enhance interoperability between both nations’ militaries and ensure ready and postured forces for any contingency, particularly those involving crisis response. This exercise serves as an opportunity for USEUCOM and the Cypriot military to exercise together and to learn from one another.

SF23 represents another step in the deliberate and strategic relationship between the U.S. and Cyprus and contributes to regional stability. During the course of the exercise, limited numbers of U.S. forces temporarily deploy to a number of locations around Cyprus to meet training objectives.

For additional information regarding the exercise, contact the 173rd Airborne Brigade’s Public Affairs office at +39 345 236 0480 or robyn.j.haake.mil@army.mil
