By U.S. European Command Public Affairs United States European Command Stuttgart, Germany Apr 20, 2020

U.S. European Command stands ready to assist our NATO ally Italy with humanitarian support including, but not limited to, transporting non-DoD medical equipment, and providing relief supplies, military personnel to support civilian humanitarian operations efforts and providing telemedicine support to Italian medical facilities and medical services to non-COVID-19 Italian patients in Italy.

In alignment with Secretary of Defense guidance released today, we will conduct these efforts through June 5, 2020, or until such time that Italy no longer requires our support.

Details will be provided as we work together with our components to carry out the support efforts.
