Charles Miller, U.S. European Command’s director of plans, policy, strategy and capabilities, signs an agreement to establish an Estonian liaison officer on the USEUCOM headquarters staff during a virtual signing ceremony May 11, 2021. The Estonian officer is expected to arrive this summer and will join liaison officers from 11 other countries in the command’s Multinational Coordination Cell.

U.S. European Command and the Estonian Defense Forces have signed an agreement establishing an Estonian liaison officer on the USEUCOM headquarters staff.

DEFENDER-Europe 21 is large-scale U.S. Army-led exercise designed to build readiness and interoperability between the U.S., NATO allies and partner militaries.
This year, more than 30,000 multinational forces from 26 nations will conduct nearly simultaneous operations across more than 30 training areas in 14 countries from the Baltics to the strategically important Balkans and Black Sea region.

Military leaders from 11 European and North American nations concluded two days of strategic discussions focused on Arctic security issues during the annual Arctic Security Forces Roundtable (ASFR).
