GPOI is a Department of State program intended to build international capacity to execute United Nations peacekeeping operations. The equipment, donated to support the Armenians in their pledge to deploy a Level II hospital to a UN mission, included defibrillators, X-ray machines, tents, generators, lights, and other supplies. Ambassador Tracy highlighted the courage and dedication of Armenia’s military medical personnel and expressed her sincere wishes that the donated equipment will save and improve many Armenian lives. This event marks only the most recent chapter of our long-standing partnership with Armenia, led by the Embassy’s Office of Defense Cooperation, helping modernize Armenia’s civilian and military medical and disaster response capabilities.
