ATLANTIC OCEAN, The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Paul Ignatius (DDG 117) pulls away from the Military Sealift Command dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS William McLean (T-AKE 12) after a replenishment-at-sea evolution. Paul Ignatius is operating in the Atlantic Ocean in support of U.S. Sixth Fleet’s full spectrum of joint and naval operations, often in concert with allied, joint, and inter-agency, partners, in order to advance U.S. national interests and security and stability in Europe and Africa.
