D-Day 2019

Brig. Gen John Stephens, Regional Health Command, US Army Europe, greets flag bearers at the first advanced headquarters of the Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Force and Dwight D. Eisenhower memorial ceremony in Tournieres, France on June 7. More than 1,300 U.S. Service Members, partnered with with 950 troops from across Europe and Canada have converged in northwestern France to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Operation Overlord, the WWII Allied Invasion of Normandy, commonly known as D-day.
