STUTTGART, Germany -- Twelve U.S. Air Force F-15Cs arrived in Europe as part of the next Theater Security Package in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve.
Approximately 250 Airmen and support equipment deployed from the 131st Fighter Squadron, Barnes Air National Guard Base, Mass. and the 194th Fighter Squadron, Fresno Air National Guard Base, Calif. While in theater, these aircraft will participate in a variety of missions, training events and exercises to include supporting the NATO Air Surveillance mission in Iceland.
The F-15Cs will also deploy to Leeuwarden Air Base, Netherlands and will forward deploy to other locations in European NATO and partner nations. Units will conduct training alongside our NATO allies and partners to strengthen interoperability and to demonstrate U.S. commitment to a Europe that is whole, free, at peace, secure, and prosperous.
These TSP rotations are an excellent investment given the exceptional benefit to training, operational readiness, and our alliances and partnerships. They enhance interoperability among the services and partner military training, while also bolstering our capability that enables us to continue our reassurance measures.
