EUCOM Selects Enlisted Senior Leader

STUTTGART, Germany – The Office of the Senior Enlisted Advisor to the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff has selected a new senior enlisted leader for U.S. European Command.

Navy Command Master Chief Crispian Addington, currently assigned as the U.S. Seventh Fleet command master chief, Yokosuka, Japan. "I'm proud to announce Command Master Chief Crispian Addington as our next Senior Enlisted Leader for U.S. European Command.” said Gen. Phil Breedlove. “He is a proven leader with an extensive career built on excellence. I have no doubt with his experience and reputation that he's the right leader to support our command and our fine enlisted force and their families." added Breedlove.

The Senior Enlisted Leader (SEL) provides leadership to 82,000 joint service members distributed over 400 bases and facilities in an area of responsibility covering 51 countries.

The SEL advises the commander on all enlisted issues, provides guidance on theater security cooperation, promotes enlisted professional development through training and education in order to build partner nations’ capacity and improve inner-operability, and serves as a mentor for senior enlisted in the European footprint to include: U.S. service components and partner nations within NATO.
