U.S. European Command to Participate in Helsinki Commission Field Hearing

Participation in the field hearing is another example of the U.S.’s strong commitment to security in the Baltic Sea region and unwavering support to our Allies and partners

STUTTGART, Germany U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Stephen M. Twitty, deputy commander, U.S. European Command (USEUCOM), will participate in the first-ever Helsinki Commission field hearing, July 2, in Gdansk, Poland.

Twitty will join Douglas D. Jones, deputy permanent representative and deputy chief of mission, United States Mission to NATO, for a panel discussion focusing on Baltic security matters.

During the hearing, a second panel to include senior civilian and military leaders from neighboring states, including Estonia, Finland, Lithuania, Poland, and Sweden will provide regional perspectives on the evolving security environment in and around the Baltic Sea.

Participation in the field hearing is another example of the U.S.’s strong commitment to security in the Baltic Sea region and unwavering support to our Allies and partners.
