MEDITERRANEAN SEA (Jan. 13, 2012) - An Italian AV-8B Harrier lands on the flight deck aboard the multipurpose amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5) while underway. Bataan is the command ship of the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group and is currently supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of responsibility.
