LAGER AULENBACH, Germany — A German Army unmanned aerial vehicle, known as Luftunterstutzte Unbemannte Nahaufklaerungs Ausstattung (LUNA), is catapulted for its fly-over mission to the Combined Endeavor (CE) training site here May 6 to provide documentation for CE planners and to give the LUNA program teams a unique training experience. Combined Endeavor 2007, a U.S. European Command-sponsored exercise, brings U.S., NATO, Partnership for Peace (PfP) and other nations together April 27 through May 10 to plan and execute interoperability testing of command, control, communications and computer systems from participant nations in preparation for future combined humanitarian, peacekeeping and disaster relief operations.
